Most of us like to feel we are in control of our lives. That’s why we find it often upsetting when things are beyond our control. Beginning anything new takes us out of our comfort zone and makes us realize that we aren’t always in control. Sometimes, most times, we need support and guidance to make new beginnings happen. I know I have my “network” behind me and they are my safety net as I navigate new adventures.
When I start something new, I often have a hard time prioritizing all that needs to get done. Yes, even as a Productivity Coach, I have the same challenges as you. So when the tasks on my To-Do list are all marked ASAP, it makes me stop and think just exactly what that means. I found the following explanation in my file of “Things to Think About” and wanted to share it with you. I don’t know who the author is so if you do, please let me know. They should get the credit for this as they are right on.
“Ever wonder about the abbreviation A.S.A.P.? Generally we think of it in terms of even more hurry and stress in our lives. Maybe if we think of this abbreviation in a different manner, we will begin to find a new way to deal with those rough days on along the way.
