Thank you for joining us on The Weekly Challenge and congratulations on your decision to make a difference in your life! If you have never joined us before, I know you, too, will find these tips and techniques invaluable to your dreams, your goals, and your future. You may not even realize the full potential right now, but as you work through The Weekly Challenge and fully absorb the ideas and principles…and then begin the ACTIVITY, you’ll begin to see that the rewards will be limitless!
I promise the one word that will be repeated over and over and over again is ACTIVITY.
Why you ask?
Because life is about activity. Life is about doing; Life is about us being humans being something.
Be all that you can be. Sounds like a commercial doesn’t it but one that rings your bell.
You want more – more money, more fun at work, more things done, more time with friends and family.
That is why ACTIVITY will be your key to living the life you want – both at home and at work.
I love this quote by Marianne Williamson,
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.”
~ Marianne Williamson
So, let’s go tackle that darkness with some solid, focused ACTIVITY.
You’ll notice I said focused ACTIVITY.
That means we’re going to concentrate mainly on a couple of things.
Not a ‘to-do’ so long it would wrap around the earth but just a couple of things to give your main attention to.
Just enough ACTIVITY to keep you from standing still.
Just enough ACTIVITY to feel good about.
Just enough ACTIVITY guides us from our darkness, to our light.
Remember physics class – a body in motion stays in motion.
Regardless of whether you paid attention in class or not, that is a true statement.
Oh yea – the other word I’ll use with ACTIVITY is CONSISTENT.
Consistent, manageable activity will get you where you want to go – each & every day.
Give yourself a few weeks to make the methods habitual.
Today’s Actions to Improve Organization and Productivity
- Confront your procrastination. Know that procrastination is the intentional and regular pattern of saying or promising you will do something and then not doing it. Be aware of those situations when this occurs. Don’t beat yourself up; just be aware of when it happens. Awareness is the first step to overcoming procrastination.
- Sort through each pile of paper you see today. Tackle the piles on the desks, the tables, and the floor – where ever they are. Throw away the junk and the ads, pay the bills, read the magazines.
- Give yourself a high five because you have committed to being more active each and every day.
Until next time…
